Woven Fabrics

Whether you are cruising the Great Lakes or enjoying our countries coast, Evolutions line of woven fabrics will provide easy handling, long lasting sails at an economical price. We only use the best materials made from both Challenge sailcloth in the USA and Dimension Polyant in Germany. All our polyester fabrics are made using high tenacity yarns to ensure a low stretch, tight weave with enhanced UV protection. These materials are more breathable than laminates which aids in reducing mildew growth.

Our woven line is available in both crosscut and Tri Radial panel construction. Tri Radials provide better load orientation to help minimize bias stretch. Polyester fabrics can be used on boats up to 50ft. For the more serious cruiser with a boat over 40 feet, we offer Hydronet fabric which utilizes Ultra-PE yarns, similar to the family of fibres known as HMPE and Dyneema. This option provides lower stretch, excellent resistance to flex fatigue and lighter weight by  approximately 10%.
